I am an orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in general orthopaedics and traumatology.
I have active staff privileges at Burnaby Hospital and am a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Division of Trauma, Department of Orthopaedics of the University of British Columbia.
I obtained my primary medical qualification at Queen’s University in 1991 and completed a surgical internship at Queen’s University in 1992. I graduated from the University of British Columbia Orthopaedic Program in 1997 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons that same year. I have completed an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Centre in Baltimore in 2001 and completed a second orthopaedic trauma and upper extremity fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto in 2012.
I am a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and the Canadian Orthopaedic Association.
I am a Reserve Medical Officer with the Canadian Forces and deployed to Afghanistan as a combat surgeon in the summer of 2011.
